Petite escapade du côté de Milan... Little trip around Milano

Lac de Côme - Lido di Lenno

Idéal pour un week-end. Vol direct Twinjet depuis Marseille - vous vous croirez presque dans un jet privé :-) Pour prolonger les vacances, petite escapade à Milan. Je dois reconnaître que mes hôtes étaient parfaits! 
Pour commencer le week-end, fuyez la chaleur de Milan et allez passer la journée sur le lac de Côme. A une heure de route de Milan, le dépaysement est total et qu'il est paisible de longer les bords du lac et de découvrir ses jolies maisons, cette belle et luxuriante végétation italienne! Au programme, bronzette sur la petite plage aménagée au bord du lac, Lido di Lenno. Déjeuner sur place avec au menu bon plat de pâtes, salade Caprese ou autre, le tout accompagné d'un petit verre de vin. Puis on embarque sur un bateau qui nous emmène en cinq minutes à la Villa del Balbianello. Superbe villa italienne dans laquelle le voyageur et explorateur Guido Monzino exposait ses souvenirs de voyages. A sa mort, il légua la maison au FAI (Fondo Ambiante Italiano). Une visite de la maison et de ses jardins sous une douce et chaude lumière de fin d'après-midi mérite vraiment le détour.

Puis retour à Milan pour une petite soirée tranquille ou un apéritivo. 

Dimanche, direction l'Exposition Universelle! Vous pourrez en particulier y visiter les pavillons belge, français, marocain, allemand, japonais, coréen, népalais, etc. Pour la pause déjeuner, offrez vous un bon sandwich au food-truck The Rolling Star.

Lac de Côme - Villa del Balbianello

Ideal for a week-end. Twinjet direct flight from Marseille – you would have the impression of being in a private plane :-) To extend your holidays, small getaway to Milano. I have to confess my hosts were perfect !

To begin the week-end and avoid the heat of Milano, go to the Côme Lake for one day. One hour of car from Milano, the change of scene is total and what a pleasure to drive along the banks of the Lake. We discover beautiful and colored italian houses in a luxuriant vegetation.

On the agenda, go to the small beach Lido di Lenno. Have a lunch in the taberna of this place : delicious pastas or Caprese salad with a small glass of white wine. Then take a boat to visit five minutes later the wonderful Villa del Balbianello. Extraordinary italian villa where are exposed the travels souvenirs of the traveller and explorer Guido Monzino. This guy gave his house to the FAI (Fondo Ambiante Italiano) when he died. One visit of the house and it garden with a pleasant and warm light at the end of the afternoon really worths the journey !

Then, come back to Milano for a good evening or an Aperitivo outside on a rooftop. 

On Sunday, go to the Universal Exposition. You can focus on the following pavilions : belgian, french, moroccan, korean, japanese, nepalese. For your lunch break, go to the food-truck The Rolling Star and buy a delicious sandwich.
